Redemption

Last week we left off where Ruth made a bold request to marry Boaz. He commends her and vows to make sure she is protected... But Boaz being a man of standing, reveals there is another guardian-redeemer who is closer to Ruth than himself. He must be given the chance to redeem Ruth first.

Discussion Questions: 

In Ruth 4:1-12, compare the actions of Boaz with "So and So" (the unnamed relative). How can we apply the principle of "redeeming" or "loving others" when it comes at great cost to ourselves?
