8.19.26 | Unity in the Body of Christ | Team Update
Good morning team! The sun is shining, and it is a beautiful day that the Lord has made.
I went to the garden, we have a church this morning, and ate a fig right off the tree... The calmness of the garden and the peace you feel in there. But the truth is that the people who work in there every week keep it that way. It is not magic that it is beautiful and that things grow. They work hard to cultivate everything so it grows well. It is a team behind the scenes.
That's what we are for kids' ministry. We work so hard to build relationships with the kiddos, to love on them, to have them be seen. To have them hear the word of God and be able to help them draw closer to Him. Our "job" is not to entertain them... it is to show them the truth and bring the Bible to life for them to apply it and live in it for the rest of their lives. We might not see the fruit from the seeds we are planting, but everything you do is fertilizer for their faith.
Mister Brown is teaching this week and recapping promise 1 and 2. Next week we will go to promise 3!
Promise 1
Motion: Index finger pointing upward, then pull into fist.
Say together:
“God saves me.”
Promise 2
Motion: Two fingers walking.
Say together:
“God stays with me.”
Needs this week
9:30 1 adult for toddler and 2/3rd grade
11:15 1 adult for pre k and 2 for k/1
If you want to do a 10-30 second video to be apart of the promo video, please let me know! Or find Mister Brown on Sunday. All we need is a quick what you love about kids min or why you serve in kids min.
Let's make sure we are listening to kids, asking questions, directing to the lesson for recap and response time. Please don't feel like small group time is another teaching time. Recap or ask questions that are about the lesson.
Please remember to wear appropriate clothing. Nothing showing or hanging out... if you can see your stomach without your hands being up, wear something longer.
Eph 4:1-7 Unity and Maturity in the Body of Christ
1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
7But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
Thank you all for showing up! Thanks for supporting me and my team. Thanks for being the dream team!
Blessings!
