Bearing Fruit in the Land of Suffering

As we continue through the life of Joseph, we see him brought out of prison to interpret Pharaoh's dreams. This is his chance to be put right and elevate himself, but that's not what he does. He is persistent in saying that it is God who has the ability to interpret the dreams, not him. Pharaoh tells him the dreams and Joseph interprets them. Pharaoh can tell that God is with Joseph and puts him in charge, only he himself is greater.
Faith in God does not exempt the believer from pain and affliction. As we have seen in Joseph's life. God has brought him up in the land of his suffering.
Talk it out : In what ways has pain and suffering drawn you Closer to God or Away from Him?
